The Story of My 60-Year Art Journey

This oil painting was completed when I was a teenager in high school. I copied it from a cover illustration on a catalog. I did this painting prior to having any art lessons.

I was impressed by the way the picture portrayed the love between the man who is carving what looks like it might be a mask and the girl who is watching intently and appears to be either his daughter or grand-daughter.

I realized that a work of art could portray feelings that went beyond words.
