After I retiring from full-time teaching, I made painting a priority. Since my artwork at the end of grad school had reached what I referred to as a dead end, I decided to return to geometric painting where I had a solid footing and go forward from that point, avoiding the pitfalls of my previous experience. I was still searching for art that was truly authentic -- art that was more than just a pretty picture or design.
