The Story of My 60-Year Art Journey

1967 - First Year at the Corcoran School of Art

I was searching for a style of art that expressed who I was.

At this time I became very interested in the art of Frank Stella and began to work with geometric images on shaped canvases. I enjoyed making the designs and building the canvases.

I liked the effect of the optical illusions which produced a kind of twisting effect.

I was intrigued by the idea that paintings could produce psychological experiences beyond just being pretty pictures. I began to work with the idea of attempting to create art which expanded the consciousness of the viewer.
